Wood Frog Lithobates sylvaticus

Description: 2 - 3 inches. Wood Frogs are typically brown, rarely orange or pink, and have a dark brown mask. In northern North Dakota they often have a white stripe down their back.

Similar Species: The Burnsi morph of Northern Leopard Frogs may look similar, but lack the dark mask.

Comments: Occurs most frequently in forested habitats of northern and eastern North Dakota.
